S/S15 Runway Raf Simons Photo Collage Parka

Insanely beautiful and rare parka from Raf Simons Spring/Summer 2015 collection. This exact parka was featured on the runway and comes from one of Raf’s most personal collections ever. Raf described the collection as “memory wear”, since a lot of the photo collages used throughout the clothes are actual pictures from his own life and childhood. Instead of looking for outside inspiration, he basically looked back at his own memories, family and the people around him. You can find pictures of his parents when they were young, his dad during his time in the army, old trips with friends and a young Raf himself. One of my favorites is the old passport picture of Raf wearing a Superman shirt his friend Olivier Rizzo gave him, taken around the time Raf was just starting to think about becoming a designer. That’s what makes this parka so special imo. These aren’t just random graphics that look cool, you’re basically wearing pieces of Raf’s personal history. Truly an amazing piece and definitely one of my favorite Raf parkas ever.Super good condition, despite some minor cracking on the prints and a scratch on the front (shown in pictures), which isn’t visible at all when worn.
